What Is The CSRD?
Starting in early 2025, the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will require companies with an EU presence to report ESG risks and opportunities. This directive will require companies to go beyond carbon emissions and report on waste, pollution, water, and biodiversity with the same level of assurance as financial data.
Who Needs To Report?
More than 50,000 companies will need to report in line with the CSRD, and many of these companies will have to disclose their full carbon emissions for the first time. The new regulations also cover an estimated 10,000 non-EU companies with significant operations in Europe.
